PCB inspection and functional testing
Check assembly quality and verify the functions that matter to your product. Keep Best uses SPI, AOI and X-ray inspection alongside project-specific ICT, functional test and test-fixture development.
What we do
Choose coverage from the product’s failure modes
Inspection and electrical testing answer different questions. A hidden solder joint needs a different check from a firmware interface or a controller responding to a changing load. We work from the released circuit, operating conditions and acceptance limits to define the test package.
Manufacturing work
What is included in the work package
| Work area | What we do | What the definition covers |
|---|---|---|
| SPI | Solder-paste deposition before placement | Paste volume and printing features |
| AOI | Visible placement and soldering features | Assembly inspection findings |
| X-ray | Hidden terminations such as BGA joints | Internal solder features requiring inspection |
| ICT | Accessible circuit nodes and component behavior | Electrical checks supported by the fixture and test access |
| FCT | Programming, interfaces and operation under defined loads | Measured results against the approved procedure |
| Aging or extended checks | Operating sequence and conditions where specified | Time, load, temperature and acceptance recorded in the plan |
Your deliverables
What moves forward with your product
- An agreed method and coverage for the product
- Fixture, software and measurement responsibilities
- Pass/fail limits tied to the released revision
- Test results, failed-unit handling and re-test rules as specified
Engineering in practice
Connect the service to a real manufacturing challenge
Getting started
Send the inputs you have
Start with your BOM, PCB or assembly data, target quantities and the checks the product needs. Include firmware, mechanical drawings or a sample description when they are relevant. If the package is incomplete, tell us what is available so we can identify the next step.
Engineering requirements
Separate production checks from product qualification
Production screening checks units against a released procedure. Functional verification demonstrates only the functions and operating conditions actually exercised. Reliability qualification requires its own samples, stress conditions, duration and acceptance criteria; passing FCT or an aging sequence alone does not establish service life, safety approval or full system reliability.
Define test coverage, stimulus and load conditions, measurement points, limits, software and fixture revisions, and required records. Specify measurement-equipment suitability and calibration requirements. Preserve failed results, approved repair actions and re-test history so a later pass does not erase the original finding.
