Engineering + ODM
Electronics design and ODM, connected to manufacturing
Bring hardware, PCB, firmware and prototype work together with the team preparing your product for production. Our development route includes power electronics, battery management and energy-storage control.
Engineering work
Turn product requirements into a buildable design
| Discipline | Engineering work | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware & power electronics | Power paths, protection circuits, sensing and interfaces | Architecture, schematic and review actions |
| PCB engineering | Component placement, thermal paths, assembly and test access | Layout outputs and DFM/DFT actions |
| Embedded firmware | Control logic, protection behavior and communication | Firmware build, interface definitions and release notes |
| Prototype & bring-up | Board measurements, load behavior and failure diagnosis | Bring-up findings and engineering change list |
| Validation planning | Operating conditions, electrical checks and acceptance criteria | Test plan, results for completed tests and open items |
| Manufacturing transfer | BOM, PCB data, programming, fixtures and test limits | Controlled production-release package |
Development examples
Power electronics you can discuss with our engineers

The group’s Matsutake product materials document boost BMS and MPPT controller development. These examples connect power conversion, protection, sensing and communication to real board-level designs. The version and specification for a new project are confirmed during engineering review.
Prototype to release
A practical development sequence
| Stage | Engineering focus | Release check |
|---|---|---|
| Requirements | Use case, operating conditions, interfaces and acceptance | Requirements and responsibilities agreed |
| Design | Architecture, schematic, PCB and firmware | Design review and prototype-ready package |
| Prototype | Build, bring-up and measurements | Findings closed or assigned to the next revision |
| Validation | Functional and environmental test plan | Results reviewed against agreed criteria |
| Transfer | BOM, production files, programming and fixtures | Manufacturing package and pilot acceptance |
Working together
Keep design ownership clear
Before development starts, agree the deliverables, customer-supplied IP, background technology, third-party components and acceptance milestones. Manufacturing support can follow the engineering work or start from an existing released design.
Talk to engineering
Bring the system problem, not only a target price
Describe the application, power profile, interfaces, operating environment and what is already designed. This helps separate a new design work package from modifications to an existing board or a manufacturing transfer.
Engineering requirements
Agree design, validation and release responsibilities
For build-to-print manufacturing, the customer supplies the released design and product requirements; manufacturing review identifies build and test questions. For commissioned development, agree the schematic, PCB and firmware deliverables, verification and validation activities, acceptance criteria and approval owners before work starts.
Record who owns system integration, thermal design, compliance testing and final-product release, including any customer or external-laboratory work. Prototype bring-up and production functional testing do not by themselves establish system reliability or regulatory approval.
